We have some exciting news!
Exciting new things are happening at the Grayson County Chamber of Commerce as the Board of Directors have been working to add value to your membership. We are excited to announce that the chamber is now a Preferred Partner of the local morning show Shop Local Leitchfield, heard on Leitchfield’s New Country Station 103.9 The Moose.
The board heard a presentation last week from show host: Misty Thomas, who created a marketing campaign for the Grayson Co. Chamber of Commerce to really showcase our position in the community as the number #1 entity rallying for shopping local, promoting the community, it’s economic well-being, and working to raise the value of the individual and business climate across the board.
Shop Local Leitchfield is in its second year of production and growing rapidly in listenership locally. The show hosts a panel of changing co-hosts daily who accompany Misty with ensuring the listeners are learning about the shopping, volunteer, and entertainment opportunities right here between the Twin Lakes. She works hard to not only bring those topics to the table, but to bring life to them by exploring their genesis, and the opportunity each item presents to the people who call Grayson Co. their home.
As your Chamber Director, I will be co-hosting the first Tuesday of each month to not only promote the upcoming chamber luncheon the following week, but to discuss any scheduled ribbon-cuttings, or events that our members are planning for their customers, like a customer appreciation day. I will also be able to spend time reminding locals just how important it is that their dollars are spent locally to ensure those cash infusions come back to your business.
I will also be inviting a non-profit chamber member to join me each month, so we can showcase the incredible volunteer opportunities people have to serve and give back to our community, hopefully driving up membership in our local clubs and organizations. Also, delivering valuable information to those who may need to partake of the services of those non-profits.
It’s an exciting time to be a member of the Grayson Co. Chamber of Commerce! We look forward to this opportunity to promote local commerce on an awesome platform created by our local radio stations. And the board is excited that we can invest in this opportunity to help serve our members at a new level.
